The Best Restaurants in Tulum

Beachside, in town & DELIVERY!

Oooohhhhh my goodness the food is so incredible in Tulum!

If this is your first time visiting, you’re in for a real treat!

We have incredible gourmet, world class super fancy wow wow restaurants and we have some of the best taco stands on the planet! And, basically everything in between!

Ohhhhh and - quite possibly my favorite food “service” in Tulum…. an awesome delivery service very similar to Uber Eats! So, no matter what you’re looking for, we are sure to have you covered. And, quite honestly, I’m not sure I could even list all of my favorite restaurants if I tried so, consider this list a great starting point but don’t be afraid to just get out there and try all the wonderful spots around town… it’s very unlikely that you’ll be disappointed.

Let’s start with Breakfast…

Tunich

Look – let’s start here – Tunich is my favorite spot for breakfast here in Tulum.

It has so much of what I love about Tulum. It is super low key, friendly and welcoming. It has a great mojo.

Macha Mama

Come for insta… stay for an Acai bowl! hehehe

Macha Mama is very insta-famous, it’s a super cute spot with great photo ops but their healthy fruit bowls and smoothies will have you very happy to have found it in real life!

Del Cielo

Del Cielo is a great coffee & breakfast spot in town. It’s a small little space so it can fill up pretty quick but it’s definitely worth the wait. (They use amazing local honey so anything with that is a fave of mine!)

Ki’Bok

Ki’Bok is kind of an OG of Tulum…. they’ve been around for a very very long time and were the first ones in town making a decent cup of coffee!

Campanella

Let’s just say… Campanella is ALWAYS a good idea… it’s not just for breakfast! They are a lovely little bistro… most famous for their incredible gelato but also offer great coffees and pastries.

Don Cafeto

Ok, if Ki’Bok is kind of an OG of Tulum… Don Cafeto is the real deal! Located on the main avenida, they’ve been a staple of the Tulum food scene from the very beginning. They are a no-frills, great spot for breakfast.

Let’s talk TACOS!

Don Honorio

Don Honorio’s started out as just a little taco cart off the side of the road selling Cochinita Pibil tacos & tortas. Now it’s grown to full on “restaurant” status and for good reason!

Chiapaneca

The legendary Tacos a la Chiapaneca. Cheap, yummy, delicious Tacos al Pastor… street taco style. This is basically a required stop if you’re spending any time in Tulum at all!

Tacos Kulkulkan

A little off the beaten path but an excellent, chill spot. The space is a little bigger and they’re a little more of a locals only gem so you can hang out a little longer without feeling rushed to give up your table.

Moving On To More Fancy Options

Posada Margherita

Quite possibly my favorite Tulum Restaurant. It’s beautiful and delicious but still chill and laid back. (And their foccasia bread & cauliflower appetizer is out of this world!)

ARCA

ARCA is a total vibe. It is on the jungle side of the beach road, tucked into the palms with a super chic vibe. You’ll feel like you’re in a whole different world at ARCA. (oh, and the food is spectacular!)

Kitchen Table

They have set seating times and are still a pretty small space so you’ll definitely want to look into making reservations. But you won’t be disappointed with Kitchen Table.

And…. last but not least… my favorite dining option in Tulum… DELIVERY!

Tomato.mx reigns supreme for food delivery options in Tulum!

They have partnered with sooooo many local restaurants to bring you “servicio a domicilio” (Home Delivery)

Here are some of my favorites when it comes time to chill out an order food to be delivered to us.

Burrito Amor

Another Tulum “classic” - Burrito Amor is just freakin’ delicious burritos. They even have coconut flour tortillas and cool healthy stuff like that. Trust me, you’ll thank me later for this recommendation!

Agusto Salad

Finally Tulum got a salad bar!!!! Agusto salad is a great spot for a light, fresh meal when you’re feeling heavy from all those other big meals.

El Gourmet

My favorite lunch spot in Tulum - El Gourmet makes great sandwiches and salads and their passionfruit smoothie is ah-may-zing! 9 out of 10 times I order lunch, it’s from El Gourmet!

Asian Bodega

Holy cow these guys now how to make some awesome food! Doesn’t matter what you order, it will be amazing!

El Pollo Bronco

Another OG and still just as good as all those years ago when I first discovered them. It’s grilled chicken, served with some rice and tortillas. Super basic and super delicious.

La Nave

Ahhhhhh La Nave. A super sentimental spot for lots of us that started going to Tulum a million years ago. Yummy Italian food & pizza.
