Welcome to Paradise
After visiting the Riviera Maya for years, we finally moved to Tulum full time.
I live here and I simply adore it.
All of the recommendations on the site are my own.
If I don't love it, I won't recommend it.
Experience Tulum like a local.
There are lots of beautiful, beautiful places to stay in Tulum. If you are interested in a more relaxed, beach vacation - the hotels along the beach are perfect for you. (I mean, have you seen that beach? How can you go wrong?) If you want a little more interaction with folks in town, a hostel or hotel in town will be just your speed. And, finally, if you prefer to have some freedom to cook and chill out on your own - Tulum is full of amazing vacation rentals and airbnbs.
Foodies beware - Tulum has some incredible restaurants and bars! The food here is fresh and focused on new, delicious offerings you don't get back at home. The street tacos are amazing, restaurant atmospheres are fun and laid back and when you want a nice meal, you'll be blown away by the exotic flavors. Beverages are no different, from juices to cocktails, brace yourself for an amazing experience. Oh, and be sure to save time for a cocktail and a little salsa dancing on the beach! So much to experience!
The entire Riviera Maya is one big nature lover's playground. The cenotes, lagoons, beaches, ocean, jungle, ruins, you name it - it's here and it's beautiful. There's lots to do and usually only so much time to see it all. We have reviews to help you decide what activities are best for you. From swimming in caves to yoga on a stand up paddleboard (in a private lagoon no less!) to learning Spanish, we'll give you all the info you need. Don't worry, we've got shopping and bike rentals and beach club info too! They are all local's picks and only the very best of Tulum. Some of them are still considered "locals only" spots, still undiscovered by tourists. (Sssshhhh.... don't tell anyone about those.)
